Diving and Yachting

Making mistakes and overlooking things is a normal part of learning when you are just beginning with scuba diving. Divers who are experienced are the ones you need to be paired up with. This will not only make your adventures underwater safer, but also you will learn little tricks that are helpful to know.

The things that need to always be done at a certain time, get into a habit of doing them. The equipment you need to have for the dive must be in the boat before you get in, so make you check. The dive shop is another place that you need to check everything while you are still there. Being a beginner, you will probably be renting equipment, so when you do, make sure that it fits.

When chartering a yacht, make sure to mention that you would like to dive and ask for instructor if you are beginner. I have had a great experience when sailing at Sunseeker from Starac on Croatian sea

Here is a great tip to help you be neutrally buoyant when you do your fifteen foot safety stop. You want to begin at the surface level of the water, and strap on a virtually empty oxygen tank for this type of test. You could also test for negative buoyancy by using a buoyancy compensator, a full tank of oxygen, and only breathing in half the air that you normally would at the surface of the water.
Another thing to be careful of is using excessive weights that are on your belt. You can do just fine with a couple of pounds, 1 to 2, of weight. After a few times, using the tips listed above, your buoyancy level should be spot on.

To learn more about scuba diving, it is suggested that you network with veteran divers that can give you tips and information not covered in this article. Although you can take scuba lessons and courses on the topic, you should do your best to do as much diving as possible every day to gain personal experience. Safety is about being aware, and also having the backup provided by a buddy that goes along with you on each and every dive.
